At HockeyWeb.de, one of the leading German-language ice hockey news and fan platforms with ~85,000 monthly visitors and ~2,800 daily unique users prior to the redesign, I led the end-to-end UX redesign of the web platform to elevate usability, engagement, and content discovery.

Directed a full redesign of the HockeyWeb.de platform, transforming the user experience across desktop and mobile with a focus on streamlined navigation, improved content hierarchy, and user-centric information architecture.

Collaborated closely with product, engineering, and editorial teams to align business goals with fan needs, ensuring the redesign supported both content consumption and advertising performance.

Improved key UX metrics by up to +30% by introducing intuitive UI patterns, faster user flows for live scores and news, and responsive design adaptations that enhanced accessibility across devices.

Helped modernize the platform’s visual design language, leading to clearer branding and an experience that encouraged longer session times and repeat visits. Worked within analytics frameworks to benchmark success and inform iterative product enhancements post-launch.

This redesign reinforced HockeyWeb.de’s position as a core destination for hockey fans in the German-speaking community and supported its continued relevance in a competitive sports news landscape.

Successfully launched 5+ SaaS products for private equity funds and AI startups (healthcare, insurance, real estate industries). Led product design from idea to launch, working as a part of a design team, as well as independently and autonomously. Collaborated with international project teams, where my responsibilities included design of interfaces, dashboards, wireframes, user flows, BPMNs and CJMs, as wel l as logos, illustrations, and other visual materials. Conducted user research and interviews to understand users' needs, behaviors, and pain points. Did usability tests to gather feedback on the design and identify areas for improvement. Iterated on the design based on user feedback and testing results to enhance usability. Directly communicated with the clients, presented the work and gathered feedback. Took part in design talent resourcing, interview process, onboarding and mentoring new designers on the team.
