Responsible for a four-year company-wide optimization and growth program, overseeing the execution of 40 individual projects and reporting to Omantel CEO. I have played a key role in transforming Omantel from a traditional incumbent telecommunications operator facing a saturated market and declining revenues in core services, into a revitalised company with a portfolio including B2C mobile payment services and digital content and XaaS solutions in B2B.

From 2012 in the function of Managing Consultant responsible for business development in international markets, as well as leading client projects in Europe, the US, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Head of FinTech Center of Excellence. Key accomplishments in client projects:

• Relaunch of B2C online banking services for a leading UAE bank.

• Project management of mobile payment services for a European Telecom group.

• Launch program management (set-up, operation and handover) for a > USD 20bn 4G carrier launch in India – now India's largest mobile network operator.

• Development/introduction of 'Value Based Steering' in the marketing organisation of a US mobile network operator to lower sales acquisition/retention cost and reduce churn.

• Creation of a digital marketing, sales & service operating model and governance structure for a European telecom group (11 national subsidiaries).

• Development and project management for a full IT transformation strategy of an incumbent telecom provider serving 46m customers.

• Head of project for multiple 'beyond core' telecom projects and joint ventures in the fields of financial services, health care, big data and energy for telecom operators, financial services providers and venture capital funds.

• Commercial leader (interim management) for a full restructuring of a telecom operator in Angola. Covering redevelopment of product portfolio, segmentation and pricing, go-to-market strategy/implementation, company branding, business planning and budgeting.
