Barnana Hemoprava Sarkar

I use photography as a medium to record events and tell stories. As a self-taught photographer, most of my work reflects a conceptualised version of reality and my style explores the blurry line between fine art and documentary. I specialise in portrait and event photography where I strive to highlight the essence of the person I am photographing. I am well-versed with various softwares such as Photoshop, Lightroom, and Skylum Luminar. I might not be an experienced photographer but I am passionate about it and I am sure that no matter what the subject is, I can find my way through it. I got my first photography gig in Paris during the Retro automobile convention where I documented various vintage cars and the mood of the convention for the magazine, deRivaz & Ives. I also made several short interview features during the event. Prior to that I have exhibited my work in India, where I showcased some of the conceptualised artworks. I am looking forward to growing a career as a photographer and I will ensure that whatever work comes in hand, I will treat it with as much care and passion as I do with my camera.
