I am a freelance AI and Big Data Engineer, specialized in: Databricks, Python, SQL and Microsoft Azure. I've worked for more

than 20 years on many large data warehouse implementations. I get the most satisfaction from simplifying complex problems

and making teams and systems more efficient. I work well in an environment that promotes innovation and where there is room

for discussion about the best way of doing things. I've studied artificial intelligence, and recently I've caught up with all the latest

developments in large language models and multi-agent systems. I would really like to use this knowledge in my next

assignment. My goal is to provide simple solutions for complex problems, which in my opinion is more complicated than

providing complex solutions. When I have to use copy-paste, alarm bells start ringing, because code should not be copy-pasted,

but reused.

Design and development of a data warehouse for Detecting Financial Crime department. Lead engineer in a complete refactor and redesign of the biggest dataset of the bank, containing bank transactions. Focus on modelling, cleaning and simplifying the data, but also getting the best performance using Databricks and finally developing a way to incrementally refresh and join multiple big data sources. Work closely together with Microsoft and Databricks Engineers. For example to integrate Kusto/Data Explorer as a source for a PowerBI dashboard. Also worked as a dev-ops engineer.
