Education
- First Class Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic DesignUniversity of the Arts London2022BA Graphic Design programme allowed me to freely formulate my enquiry of practice and become independent thinker—doer. I became fluent in Adobe programme packages, including moving image applications like After Effects and Premiere Pro. While my main interests lay in the digital world, I have enhanced traditional graphic and art-making with skills such as screen-printing, letterpress, bookbinding, analogue photography and more. In my dissertation I have analysed the perception of the image and how it can be changed using cinematographic and contextual means. As my practical outcome I have produced a 13 min short film together with the dissertation written in the script format; hardcover and softcover books of the play ‘The Substance of Eternity’ complimented by conceptual photography, which were exhibited at London Design Festival 2022. The programme enables the formation of a community which is interested in exploring what it means to be a contemporary graphic designer. At UAL, Camberwell College of Arts, it is believed that graphic design has a role in the broader fields and landscape of contemporary life, both locally and globally. The aim is to empower graduates to be proactive practitioners with the ability to make change. Modules: Introduction to Graphic Design, Provocations, The Language of Images, Publish, Design Systems 1 & 2, Collaborative and Collective Practices, Agency and Representation, Community of Enquiry, Staging.
- Master of Arts in PhotographyRoyal College of ArtsThe programme enables me to explore photography as a multidisciplinary practice, regardless of its form being still or moving, analogue or digital. I am given the opportunities to stretch the limits of not only traditional practices (i.e. nuances of analogue photography and working in the darkroom) but also advanced, modern technologies (i.e. moving / still image studios, recording studios, moving image editing, still image retouching etc.). At RCA, the photographic image is understood as an allegorical and thoroughly visual form. The academic tutors team at RCA is an exceptional teaching example of deep conceptual and critical thinking helping produce the image as well as make it public. Modules: Situating Photography: Practice and Discourse, Making Public, Urgency of the Arts, Independent Research Project.
