About Emma

Throughout the initial decade of my professional career, I served as a proficient Graphic Designer, possessing expertise in both digital and print creative solutions. Subsequently, I spent six years overseeing the UK operations of a renowned design agency located in Geneva, liaising directly with account handlers as well as graphic design and digital teams to ensure delivery of high-quality work that conformed to strict branding guidelines and met all project deadlines. Notable clients I worked with included Medtronic, Dentsply, P&G, and Givaudan.

Since then, I have continued to operate as an independent Graphic Designer, offering my services to a broad range of international clients that include local and international design agencies.

  • INL Agency
    Graphic Designer / Traffic Manager
    June 2010 - December 2015 (5 years and 6 months)
Liaising with the account executives I planned and managed design work through the creative team, overseeing the jobs and making sure they are on track and on time. I was responsible for making sure the designers hit all deadlines which are very often tight and urgent. Reacting very quickly to emails / video calls was an essential part of the job. The wide range of projects I handled included print, video and digital work for various multi-national companies. It was a deadline driven, very busy environment, which I ran extremely well. Most of INLs clients have very strict branding guidelines that I knew especially well and I was responsible of making sure all the designers adhered to them. In addition to managing, I still did a lot of design work for INL. I was also responsible for digital management and part of my role was to also to organise past work, backing it up to the clients FTP server and keeping our severs ordered and organised.

    Senior Graphic Designer
    July 2007 - June 2010 (2 years and 11 months)
I worked as Senior Designer for a printing.com franchise for 3 years. I was able to use my design skills to produce an extensive range of work for a wide variety of clients whom I dealt with mainly face to face. I find having that direct contact helped a lot in understanding exactly what were the clients expectations. The type of work needed ranged from designer stores, beauticians and restaurants, to solicitors, churches and charities and many others asides. I was also responsible for delegating the work load to the small team of designers, matching each persons specific skill set to the jobs required, to get the best from the team and ensuring we hit deadlines. I also had to be able to check supplied work was fit for print. So knowledge of all design packages became necessary. I also learned a lot about the printing processes which made me a much more competent print designer.
