About Felicia

I bring my skills in business, people management and governance together with my passion for People, Purpose and Productivity, to drive change and transformation.

My starting point is purpose so that what the organisation does is anchored for the long-term. I take a future-back approach to Change and Transformation envisioning what's possible before creating a business plan or strategy that leverages the opportunities and then I put feet to that strategy so it is realised.

I am a disruptor who works at pace and not every organisation is ready for such a journey, but for those that are the results are well worth it!

🖊 Why contract me as your Consultant?
I bring a unique blend of skills being a qualified lawyer, a governance expert and an organisational design and development specialist. I'm curious so I don't use a cookie-cutter approach. I ensure solutions are feasible and grounded in real-life experience and I bring on a trusted colleagues where other specialisms are needed.

I've advised and consulted to a diverse range of clients including numerous Governments Internationally as well as businesses in the Legal, Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail and Tourism to name a few.

🖊What's my Super Power?
My super-power is being able to see the opportunities, develop the strategy, and, put feet to that strategy. Having been a Programme Manager on many large-scale Public Sector Transformations I know what it takes to make execution a reality, including the people side of change.

🖊 What about Coaching?
Having held several senior leadership posts I understand the need for more than a great consulting process - you need a strategic partner with business insight, who thinks commercially about strategy and results. That's what I bring and as a certified coach I use a systemic team coaching approach to my work; focusing on the leader, and, their team as leaders achieve results through others!

  • Government of the British Virgin Islands
    Transformation Consultant
    PUBLIC SECTOR
    June 2020 - June 2021 (1 year and 1 month)
Originally contracted for 6 months to lead a team of Consultants reviewing the Government's interim transformation project, and acting as Governance Advisor. Following the review that recommended the need for a full Transformation Programme to achieve the goals desired in the recovery phase after the hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017, my contract was extended for a further 12 months to support the establishment of the Public Service Transformation Programme. This included:

    1. Recruiting & training internal Public Service Transformation team
    2. With the team developed the Transformation Strategy, Goals, KPI's Performance mechnaism
    3. Worked with project leads within the ministries to assess current projects and determine what was needed to Start-Stop-Continue. Supported the project leads in their development of Transformation Plans

The most impactful element of my work was the development of the Digital Transformation Programme. I led stakeholder consultations with civil society, private and voluntary sectors and Government officials to feed into the business case. Leading an internal team of technicians to develop the business case, where I drafted the Strategic case section. The business case was approved and I established a cross-functional working group to undertake the first DT pilot project - the development of a Work permits System. The Government had tried for over 10 years to develop such a system. Having established a cross-functional working team and with significant coaching of the team and project manager, we delivered the proto-type system in 9 months and launched it after user testing and refinement 6 months thereafter. This was a significant achievement given successive governments had tried to do so for over 10 years!
