About Gábor

🌈 I am a product designer who helps to make interfaces and builds brands for digital services, enabling them to have a more human approach to their users.

🤖 We spend a significant amount of our time in digital environments. I believe these could be more than just collections of gray rectangles that are optimized for completing a task - they can be aesthetic, long-lasting, useful, and fun - and most importantly: human.

🎢 Building a product is full of experimenting and hiccups but also has a lot of joy. I like facilitating workshops that reveal better and simpler solutions to solve our problems. I enjoy creating inclusive products that could be used by anyone with ease. I believe that design has a huge impact on our everyday life which can help us to achieve a happier, more sustainable life.

👨‍💻 I worked in several industries, from B2C to B2B, and built digital solutions for web, mobile, and wearables. Worked with exceptional people from various fields of tech and product. Built start-ups and failed and I keep building. I love technology and design. And plants 🌱

  • Brandwatch
    Senior Product Designer
    March 2019 - Today (7 years and 3 months)
    Budapest, Hungary
In my current role as a senior product designer at Brandwatch I am responsible for solving complex problems from product discovery through participating in research to hands-on design, as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Our work often involves workshops and other collaborative sessions. I started as a member of the Governance team where usually tech-heavy projects appeared such as defining the new user roles, a more secure login flow, or the connection of new social networks, like WhatsApp. Later I joined the mobile team where our goal was to discover the current usability issues of our outdated mobile apps portfolio and then propose a design vision for the future. I also got involved in a project that aims to reshape our integrations with 3rd party tools and enable a simpler but more effective workflow for our users.

Wuff app is a content-specific community platform and pet care service provider with a vision to make dog parenting easier. Our family dog got lost and that was the terrible event that inspired the baseline concept. Despite all the efforts and attempts, our poor doggo never found her way back home, and I began to think why there isn't a 21st-century technology solution that might assist in such situations. After hearing about what happened to our dog, a few friends joined me and began brainstorming ways to assist dog parents in the event that their furry friend goes missing. We discovered several further problems in the pet-lover community and we are committed to helping them to tackle those with our digital service. We successfully released an MVP version of the app in Hungary for both iOS and Android recently. I was responsible for the broad concept of the app and laid down the design groundwork including the brand, the design system, and the layout and UX of the app. I am also busy building a multidisciplinary team around the project.
  • Berlitz Corporation
    Product Designer
    February 2019 - June 2021 (2 years and 4 months)
I helped the Berlitz EMEA team to increase the conversion on the Kids and Teens Language Camp website. This site was one of the main pillars of the German branch's revenue while having a very outdated design. As an independent contractor, I helped the team improve the user experience. The project involved qualitative and quantitative research, by conducting stakeholder and user interviews and evaluating usage data and session recordings. Based on the results I created a design proposal that was validated via moderated user interviews. The final design was adjusted to the 3rd party booking engine and got implemented.
