Having played rugby in South Africa, joining a rugby club in France made sense as a launch pad to fully immerse myself in the French culture and begin making new connections. This is a way of experiencing the sports scene in Nantes, and hopefully give great insight into the role of Sponsorship.

As part of Investec's group marketing strategic brand and communications team, my role was to manage Investec's sponsorships in South Africa, which involved; • Managing the Investec brand on sponsorships, including contractual obligations with stakeholders and partners • Working closely with international partners to bring Investec sponsorships to life in relevant and engaging ways, ensuring that any activations in and around sponsorships done on behalf of Investec group marketing are in line with the Investec brand and business strategy • Working in conjunction with Investec group marketing global team and their partners • Growing, managing and protecting the Investec brand.
