Cover financial is an online insurance company. I was hired primarily to replace the android Developer leaving the team.
Below is the list of accomplishments I'm particularly happy of:
- Kept the android app running for 500k users after the departure of the former android developer. This put to test my strong debugging, extensive engineering skills, and my abilities to adapt to different environments.
- Ensure smooth mobile application technology transitioning while serving the iOS and Android app via React-Native and while progressively migrating functionalities to react-native.
- Speed up development by automating deployment and testing of the applications using Bitrise and Fastlane. Also, I contributed to the maintenance and creation of privately hosted NPM modules.

Detect is a medical company that entered the market at the end of 2020, and has been doing great so far. Detect focussed on the sale of Covid-19 test kits and now is trying to expand its market by producing kits that can detect many other diseases. Detect has two main parts: The Eccommerces website and the React Native mobile application.

Below are the Items that I'm proud of working on:
- Increasing the population reach of the e-commerce website by tech-spec and implementing site translation to Spanish using react-intl in NextJS. This was particularly tedious because we were loading markdown text from Shopify using GraphQL.
- Increased the maintainability of the e-commerce site by migrating the content of Shopify to the appropriate cost-effective CMS tool.
- Keeping the mobile application up-to-date by upgrading our react-native SDK version after 2~3 version shifts.
- Being a great team player by pixel perfectly realizing designs implemented using Figma while following accessibility best practices and communicating with the rest of the team, making sure the expectations are mad.
- Speeding up development and Increasing development experience by automating testing, and deployment.
- Ensured great code quality and stability by writing end-to-end tests and screenshot testing, adding strong linting rules, and using Typescript.
