Strategic intelligence (ongoing) *Senior Adviser & Associate Partner to two top-tier London-based strategic advisory firms. *Provide human-sourced intelligence to support FTSE-100-level companies with assessing political/geopolitical and commercial opportunities/risks in frontier and emerging markets. *Regularly and discreetly engage with senior executives and government officials. *Recent projects include: supporting a western client with a geopolitically contested tender process for a strategic asset in a major emerging economy; high-level stakeholder engagement in a post-coup African state.

Strategic communications (2023/24) *Part of 4-person team supporting the U.S. Office of Transition Initiatives and Sudan's civilian opposition Tagadom, led by former PM Abdalla Hamdok - working from London, Nairobi and Kampala. *Advisory remit included: stakeholder mapping; operational communications structures (including a newsroom); targeted multi-media messaging/engagement. *Co-designed and led 5-day strategy workshop attended by senior Sudanese and U.S. officials. *Regular report writing for U.S. Special Envoy Tom Perriello and other senior officials.

Media relations (2023) *Created international media strategy for the Prime Minister's Office of an emerging economy looking to boost its investment profile.

• News: led 5-person team in Kyiv, Ukraine in the build-up to and during the early stages of Russia's full-scale invasion between December 2021 & March 2022.

• Documentary: won New York TV Festivals Award for presenting the documentary 'The Urban Microbiome' on the science & technology show 'Razor'.

Company outsourced its foreign bureaus to third parties Established bureaus:

• Built and managed 2 independent offices from scratch.

• Attracted top talent from Al Jazeera, the BBC and CNN.

• Oversaw annual budget increase of circa. $50k in 2011 to $500k by 2018. Led global coverage (showreel here):
