Harry Fleminger

Hello! I’m Harry and I’d love to help you create a website/web-app using Ruby on Rails.

I have a degree in IT and Design, where I developed the foundation of my design and software development skills. I learnt python, Java, UX/UI design principles, creative problem-solving principles, and much more.

After my degree, I got an internship at Woooba. A tech startup developing an app for organising casual sports matches. During my time there I worked on a UX research project and delivered UI changes to the app as a result. Then, I was given the task to redesign a famous bakery’s website called Gibson’s Bakery. I loved working on this project! It ignited my desire to become a web developer and started me on this incredible path.

After this realisation, I decided I wanted to give myself the best opportunity to become a web developer, so I applied to one of the most competitive and world-renowned web dev boots camps. Le Wagon. I was lucky enough to get in and it has transformed my life. I can officially call myself a web developer <3

To date, I’ve delivered three projects using Ruby on Rails.

1. An amusing agency app called “Sellebrity”, that Is based on Airbnb’s functionality. The only difference between Airbnb and Sellebrity is that we’re selling celebrities, not flats. Yes, it’s a joke.

2. My Final project at Le Wagon called Travel Plan. I’m really proud of this one. This app is a social media for sharing the amazing holidays you’ve been on and getting inspiration for future trips.

3. My First Freelance job! I created an online shop for a popular Instagram account called TeeBakes&Cakes. I delivered a conventional E-com store for her to sell her cakes. Currently, I’m working on delivering a request system so her customers can buy custom cakes there too which is about 70% done.

And that’s it! Now I’m looking for my second freelance job, and I’d really love it to be with you.
