Having taken voluntary redundancy from my time at Centrica I wanted to try something new in terms of my career and I set up a business - timing was unfortunate due to the pandemic!

I have been a Freelance Photographer & Videographer mainly specializing in aerial photography and video. This however has left me with a yearning for the problem-solving and mental exercise that I got with my previous jobs & career. This has led me to join Malt as I am looking to return to analytical work where I would like to focus on shorter projects whilst providing maximum value to clients

Managing a small team of analysts and contractors in order to assist the Finance Analytics Director in critical projects across British Gas and Centrica. Represented the Finance area to ensure that projects are delivering benefits to the business and are fully supported with Data, Analysis, and Insight.

Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships across Centrica in terms of the Write-Offs, Allowances, Refunds & transfers process, Credit Balances, and those responsible for Debt Management.

Ensure that debt levels are optimised in support of the delivery of our business strategy.

Use and develop appropriate tools (SAS, SQL, Excel, Hadoop) to target relevant data and business information to provide insight into the Bad Debt charge to support the delivery of our Debt Strategy and its future direction.

Successfully recovered £80m from HMRC after identifying a process optimisation that could be introduced - ongoing reporting and adjustment process set up and handed over to the reporting team.

Created an intrabusiness transfer process with Finance to move customers and all their financial data between Residential & Business systems & supply licenses to satisfy regulatory issues.

Responsible for providing insight and strategic direction to senior Operational managers

on a range of diverse projects across Customer Operations and Debt.

Identifying key trends in Credit performance through structured analysis and linking this

to customer behaviour and collections strategy to generate valuable change options.

Building presentations with a clear narrative, concise visualisation of the findings, and

defined and measurable recommendations. Presenting these to senior management in

order to obtain buy-in for key strategic decisions.

End to end process creation, implementation and tracking.

Identify key trends in billing and metering performance through statistical modeling and link this to customer behaviour and generate valuable change options.

Support the change projects currently underway by acting as an analytical consultant by providing the right data/insight at the right time Use bespoke analysis to unearth new insight, which can influence decisions on existing business issues
