I spent a week working in my the office of my Local MP, Elliot Colburn. Over the course of the week I was entrusted with gathering, processing and organising important data and contact details for the local businesses in the area (Carshalton & Wallington), this was done with the intention of being collated with the work of the other students alongside me on the week for Elliot to use when networking with local businesses. Later on in the week myself and the others were tasked with researching BIDs and putting together a powerpoint analysing their potential effectiveness for Carshalton & Wallington. At the end of the week we put together a calendar for Elliot's upcoming week during the Parliamentary Recess in order for him to get involved with the community and the issues of his constituents, whilst balancing this with his other responsibilities. All round it was a great experience, teaching me numerous skills that I will undoubtedly take forward with me into my future endeavours as well as furthering my interest in Politics and Economics. I attended this online Work Experience / Insight Opportunity, which was kindly put on by Young Professionals UK. Whilst a career in tech doesn't seem the right fit for me it was still interesting to hear from a range of people involved with the company to broaden my understanding of the different career options available to young people.

I was involved with this Work Experience which helped me gain valuable knowledge from a number of different people involved with Browne Jacobson. This was a great insight into the different routes into law and the difference law careers that you could consider. It was very interesting to learn about a number of different things all involved with Browne Jacobson LLP and their partners.
