I started my career supporting programme delivery and financial operations in an international nonprofit setting, working closely with teams to make sure projects ran smoothly, budgets were tracked, and reporting requirements were met. Over time, I became increasingly interested in how organisations actually function behind the scenes, not just financially, but structurally and operationally.

This led me to focus more deeply on finance and operations, and eventually to leading these functions in a growing international organisation. During this time, I worked through a period of rapid change, helping to build the financial, HR, and operational structures needed to support a multi-country organisation operating across 5+ jurisdictions and a multi-donor funding environment.

Much of my work has involved bringing clarity and structure to complex situations: improving financial visibility, strengthening internal processes, and helping teams move from reactive ways of working to more stable and scalable systems. I’ve also led practical transitions, such as the cross-border relocation of operations, where continuity and coordination were critical.

What I’ve learned is that most organisations don’t need overly complex solutions. They need systems and processes that actually work in their context. My approach is therefore pragmatic and collaborative, focusing on understanding how things function in practice and building improvements that are realistic and sustainable.

I enjoy working with organisations that are navigating growth, change, or increasing complexity, and I’m always happy to have an initial conversation to explore what’s needed and whether I might be able to support.

Beyond systems and structures, I built and supported finance and operations capacity, helping teams move from reactive, ad hoc processes to more structured, scalable ways of working.

I supported international programme implementation and financial operations in a complex, multi-country environment.

Working closely with programme teams, I contributed to the delivery of projects from initiation to completion, coordinating procurement processes, managing relationships with external vendors and consultants, and supporting the organisation of regional workshops and events.

On the finance side, I was responsible for tracking project expenditures, preparing financial summaries, and supporting reporting to headquarters. This included monitoring budgets, reviewing expenditure reports from external partners, and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with organisational and donor requirements.

I also supported office-level financial management, including budget tracking and preparation of documentation for local regulatory reporting. This role required close attention to detail, coordination across teams, and the ability to manage multiple operational and financial processes simultaneously.

This experience provided a strong foundation in administration, program finance, compliance, and operational coordination within an international nonprofit setting, and shaped my understanding of how finance and operations support effective programme delivery.
