Jyrki Kyläheiko

I have extensive experience of master data management, data warehousing and business intelligence consulting. I have been consulting in MDM, data quality, cloud BI and data warehouse projects last 20+ years in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and UK. My strongest technologies are IBM Information Server (DataStage, QualityStage and Information Analyzer) and Birst.

For the DW and BI projects my typical consulting role is a lead developer or technical project manager, where I do about half of the time actual hands-on work with technical tools. In addition to that I also typically do requirement's gathering, data modeling, project management tasks, help solve problems and guide other developers to correct designs and for the usage of best practices. I have a lot of experience working with offshore development teams.

On the area of master data management, I have had lead roles in projects including defining MDM strategy and data governance designs. I am used to communicating with highly ranked business executives as well as IT personnel. I have project experience from large global projects including SAP implementations and I have been planning master data strategies, master data architectures and data governance models for large companies. In addition to higher level MDM strategy, architecture and process knowledge, I also have experience on more hands-on work regarding data quality issues such as carrying out data quality assessments including data profiling, building data quality KPI’s, building real-time and batch data cleansing and matching jobs with data quality tools such as IBM QualityStage.

I have spent two years studying in US (one year in California State University of Fullerton and one year during high school). I have also worked in many large global projects and English language companies, so English as a working language feels natural to me.
