Delivering a multi million pound construction project to refurbish 2 container berths to increase container storage capacity and develop the efficiency of the intermodal shift from road to rail with improved facilities.

Responsible for the systems design and integration at Doha New Port Project (NPP) which is located about 50Km west of Doha and handles containers, general cargo, bulk foodstuffs, livestock and offshore supply. The port operation systems consist of 26 packages (systems) and are connected to a main and recovery data centre. Responsibilities include management of the design teams, liaison with Stakeholders & PMC, coordination of design teams for integration, monitoring design submittals for completeness and quality. Also responsible for introducing new processes for monitoring progress, quality of designs and instigating workshops with the Independent Engineering Consultant, Master Systems Integrator Consultant and PMC. These changes have led to improved design quality, reduce design review and approval times.
