I am an enthusiastic and conscientious retoucher, designer, and illustrator who has worked predominantly within the field of food and drink for the past seven years, for brands including Bidfood, Kerry Foods, Dawn Meats & Tesco.

I am confident using Photoshop, CaptureOne, Bridge, InDesign, Illustrator and Premier.

I enjoy tackling tasks that are technically, as well as creatively, complicated or difficult; in my opinion there is no better feeling than resolving a complicated problem, and emerging with a brilliant solution.

Since 2015 I have worked on a freelance basis as the sole retoucher at Huw Jones Photography, a high end, food-specialist photography studio; this work has allowed me to develop an extremely firm grasp of Adobe Photoshop and Capture One softwares.
My work in this role has encompassed a wide range of photography applications, I have experience ranging from processing large volumes of images for e-commerce listings, to compositing numerous exposures into single images for use in large format billboards and other real-world advertising situations. I have occasionally been tasked with editing video or stop motion animation as part of this role, so I have an intermediate level of experience grading and editing video footage using Adobe Premiere.
I have worked as part of a small fixed team within the studio, as well as working directly with a wide array of clients, spanning art directors, marketers, in house design teams, publishers, authors, and even chefs, farmers and bakers.

Upon leaving university in 2014, and on a freelance basis since 2015, I have worked for Elevator Design as a Graphic Designer and Artworker.
Elevator have an array of food and drink clients, and I have been responsible for designing packaging as well as advertising collateral; encompassing making initial mock-up visuals, to delivering final artwork.
This work has strengthened my capability in using Adobe software, particularly InDesign and Illustrator, as well as Premiere, and has given me valuable experience working within a different team, and with another range of clients.

From March until September 2023 I worked as a Retoucher at The Royal
Mint, I was brought in to assist with the increased demand
surrounding the Coronation in May 2023, and thereafter.
This was a time of extraordinary change at the organisation,
strengthening my ability to adapt to new systems and working
methods, whilst processing a large volume of images to extremely
tight deadlines and high standards. My role predominantly focuses
on e-commerce imagery, providing me with good experience of
consistently working in a high volume studio environment
