Beginning with my time in education, my use of words has always been filtered through a lens of engagement and precision. Engagement in that a writer, regardless of tone of voice or their present assignment, should always invite their target reader in with a human, appealing touch, and precision in the importance of a lean efficiency of language.

During higher education, I was able to refine these tenets and couple them with research skills which have thus far guided me in my freelance writing career. My freelance roles have not only developed the soft skills at the foundations of my job, such as an ability to adapt to tone of voice requirements and broad research skills, but have given me practical abilities such as the navigation of WordPress and a familiarity with SEO methods which I was introduced to in my freelance role at the New York based The Playlist.

My role with the London based culture editorial The Upcoming has seen me cover a range of assignments including reviews and interviews, the former utilising my analytical skills while the latter has encouraged stronger research methods, as did my most recent role with Hustle Badger, a London based startup providing educational content for aspiring tech product managers.

Regardless of the varied assignments I have worked on, however, I have a proven track record of allowing myself to be guided by the specific requirements of the client and their expectations.
