Megan in a few words
Hi there!

My name is Meg and I am a social media associate. With a creative flare for innovative recommendations and the ability to tailor my writing style to suit different target audiences, I am led by my passion for all things social media.

Writing for large brands, such as Sainsbury's and Vitabiotics, I am no stranger when it comes to wearing multiple hats. Having created monthly content calendars, worked with influencers and oversaw community management in previous roles, I have a great understanding of juggling multiple tasks with fast approaching deadlines.

Dont be a stranger and drop me a message to find out more about my skillset and view my work portfolio.
Experience
  • Sainsbury's
    Social Media Associate
    December 2022 - Today (2 years and 3 months)
  • Vitabiotics Ltd
    Junior Social Media Executive
    RETAIL (LARGE RETAILERS)
    March 2022 - June 2022 (3 months)
    London, UK
Within my role as a Junior Social Media Executive, with an illustrated history of copywriting and social media management, I created and curated content for the Vitabiotics, Pregnacare, Perfectil and SuperDog social media calendars, oversaw community management across a range of social media platforms and produced quarterly analytical reports for each brand accordingly.

  • The Honeypot Children's Charity
    Social Media and Data Executive
    HOSPITALITY
    January 2020 - March 2022 (2 years and 2 months)
    Hammersmith, London, UK
I managed each social media channel, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Youtube through answering all queries, replying to comments and direct messages and interacting with potential donors.
Played an instrumental role in website creation, helping to launch Honeypot’s new website when starting my role at their charity. Using their tone of voice and brand guidelines, I produced a digital space for the charity to reach more volunteers and donors. I created each page on the website, using a range of tools provided by the platform and taught myself basic coding to support the visual aspects of the webpage.
Created content for each social media channel, using Canva to aid me in graphics needed for each post.
Content writing for both social media and website copy, this included blog writing and news items. To further assist me with time management, I would prepare shared Excel sheets to plan campaigns in advance, urging my colleagues to add their fundraising assets and any upcoming events to ensure everything was prepared in a timely manner.
Created monthly analytical reports, highlighting the growth in followers in correlation to the number of donations we were receiving. I regularly updated the directors on our social media strategy and presented my thoughts on how we could reach a wider audience.
Managed all email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp, writing copy for each email and sourcing the appropriate images through liaising with our teams in both Hampshire and Wales.
Managed GDPR administrative tasks, using Donor Perfect to conduct weekly uploads of new donors and monitor subscribers/unsubscribers.
Fuelled initiatives through producing new materials, such as banners and leaflets that would help with broader marketing strategies.
Conducted interviews and transcribed case studies.
Pedalled the largest campaign Honeypot had ever launched, helping to raise £1million in just one week. I helped to achieve this goal through forming a partnership with Arsenal’s very own Gabriel Martinelli. Teaming up with the Fundraising Team, we reached out to high profile clients to support us in raising awareness of the charity. We attracted the attention of other celebrities and philanthropists, Blake Harrison being amongst them.
