- I simultaneously left home and formal education at the age of 16, immediately after my GCSEs. All education and qualifications gained subsequently were achieved under my own steam and usually to adapt to [current] circumstances and opportunities. “Every day’s a school day”: I constantly self-educate and have broad interests in the arts, literature, science and social science. I have not found a lack of formal qualifications a barrier to the type of work and business I excel in.
