    Group Communications Director

    Lead on corporate communications for Avacta Group plc, a clinical stage oncology drug developer and producer of diagnostics.

    I worked with the leadership team to create and execute the Group communications strategy and sell the vision through targeted engagement to investors, leveraging media coverage whilst maintaining accuracy and adhering to the regulatory requirements of being a plc. A range of product launches and M&A during my time with the company required complex communications, both internally and externally.

    Avacta's lead therapeutic asset progressed through pre-clinical and clinical stages. I worked with senior leadership to create and implement a communications strategy around this platform technology to attract further investment, media coverage and influence analysts to provide positive commentary. I was responsible for supporting senior leaders with considered counsel on reputation related matters and leading issues preparations and responses.
