I co-founded Toucan Recruitment in 2016 whereby we created a solid brand of integrity that offered permanent staffing solutions to a variety of industries. Business was South Wales Based and majority of positions were headhunted through our in house systems we invested in. Our expertise in recruitment enabled us o offer an excellent quality of permanent candidates to a variety of industry sectors including: Manufacturing & Engineering Logistics & Transport Office Support With a personalised and hands-on approach our aim to help clients hire for the best talent in their sector. With a team of 10 consultants Toucan Recruitment offered agile, flexible recruitment solutions when hiring. A combination of more than 20+years in the firm of recruitment experience meant that our clients were reassured that we were able to search quality candidates efficiently to grow their businesses. As Co-Founder and MD of the business I was tasked with initial start up, management and growth whilst billing for the organisation.

At Brook Street I offered a high standard of consultative service to both clients and Candidates in a wide range of markets. As a permanent consultant I am responsible for attracting candidates and matching them to permanent positions with client companies. I work with client companies, building relationships in order to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and requirements. Mainly I attract candidates by drafting advertising copy for use in a wide range of media, as well as by networking, headhunting and through referrals. I screen candidates, interview them, do background checks and finally match them to their potential Employer. Additionally, I provide advice to both clients and candidates on salary levels, training requirements and career opportunities.
