Having relocated back to the UK from Dubai in 2021, I returned to independent consultancy. I am presently working on a business-critical Internal Critical Chain operational improvement project for a client, with the aim of optimising performance across a 40-person organisation, and working with a client to evaluate the capabilities of their legal case management software for engagement and billing.

ADG Legal is a fast-growing, leading law firm in Dubai, acting for corporates, SMEs, family-owned businesses and high-net-worth individuals. I was headhunted to the role, with ownership for overseeing business operations, driving operational improvement, managing and monitoring finances, facilities and HR, and leading critical process transformation. I worked closely with the Managing Partners to identify opportunities and drive improvement, and implemented new company policies, onboarding and offboarding procedures, performance review schedules and a new HR management system, to support the team growth by 3x. Most notably, I was instrumental in transforming and enhancing financial processes, resulting in an 82% reduction in time spent handling aged supplier bills, and I played a key role in driving visibility during the Covid pandemic and navigating the company through the impacts of the pandemic, without any salary cuts or job losses, which subsequently ensured the company was able to secure a larger client base and greater market share.

During this period, I worked as an independent consultant, where I provided strategic consulting to clients across various industries, including the delivery of operational improvement initiatives and operational strategy. This included delivering a critical upgrade from a legacy desktop accounting software to a cloud solution and driving a 35% reduction in bookkeeping time and significant external accounting cost reductions on a monthly basis, by overhauling financial processes and delivering training. Most notably, I succeeded in leading a complex, bespoke ERP software implementation project, and I was instrumental in executing a complex, remote, cloud storage migration project, which involved conducting internal research across a multi-cultural team and selecting a secure solution that enabled remote access, resulting in improved access to files and increased efficiency and digital security.
