A highly experienced and passionate Telecoms professional who has been heavily involved in the Fibre Build world most recently having worked with Alt-Nets and with Investors to achieve sustainable build growth.

I have many years of sourcing, inducting and maintaining Supplier relationships across both build and Support/Maintenance. I have strong relationships with most of the large Equipment and Material suppliers and have spent time pulling extra capacity in from Europe and the Far East.

Having worked around the world I am able to appreciate different styles in working and the impact culture has on how business is done.

Imparting my wealth of knowledge and experience and taking others on the journey keeps me motivated to do what I do.

Took a failing Utilities business and turning it into a productive and profitable business unit within the Telcom Group of divisions providing ‘smart civils’ capabilities.
Established and expanded the in-house capabilities of the business to have a resource model to provide a full turnkey solution for our internal and external customers to cover any Fibre build requirements
Worked with the Group investors to produce the new Business Plan to take the business into the next financial year with a definite plan of action to be profitable and have an extensive customer base.
Investigated other work streams and the integration into the core strengths of both Pioneer and the wider Group of companies. Linked into the additional use of the existing and growing Fibre networks we built.
Created a sustainable in house training programme to bring new inexperienced individuals into both the utilities and Fibre worlds we work in giving an injection of new blood and additional resource.

Responsible for the establishment and management of the National build, starting with an initial South Midlands regional base working to roll out FTTP services across the UK ultimately.
Evaluation and implementation of multiple sub-contractors and in house field force built to deliver up to 50k Homes Passed per month, consisting of cabling gangs, civils gangs, power jointing and Splice teams.
Worked closely with our Investors to build a financial model for the national build P&L to achieve the targets set on quantity, quality and Cost Per Premise Passed and Cost Per Premise Connected (CPPP & CPPC).
Enabled an industry leading design to use class leading materials from the global market place, introduced new market players into the UK to drive volume & continuity of supply and class leading pricing models.
Ownership of the design, plan, build, install and maintenance functions for the full life cycle of the network including interfacing into our Wholesale partners.
Worked with the sister companies within the investment group to standardise both procurement opportunities and aligning network topography and design rules enabling cost savings and leverage with industry suppliers
