Pierre in a few words

Transforming an organisation is a journey requiring a specific set of leadership and communication skills. It's also a learning process for the teams who need to be guided
from a point of balance to the following one.

Most of these transitions fail is because resources and time are too often focused on project management processes rather than on the human dimension of change. No surprise. It’s obviously easier to manage plannings and budget rather than people. That’s where I jump in.

During the first part of my career, I’ve progressively build experience and advanced skills in project and change management. The second part began when I started to share my expertise and guide management teams through change processes as a consultant but also as a trainer and an advisor.

My main competencies are HR management, organisational design and transformation, project and change management, communication, employer branding and culture, learning & development, leadership development as well as well-being at work, stress management and burnout prevention.

My role in this firm was essentially focused on supporting and training (future) leaders in my areas of expertise: change management and communication. I’ve also had the chance to spend several months researching and developing a comprehensive leadership development plan. This allowed me to dig deeper into these subjects from a theoretical point of view as well as into its best practices. Another mission I retain from this period is the reorganization of the front office of a small international insurance company: analysis of the organization and needs, focus groups, workshops, interviews, research on best practices, proposal of an organizational model aligned with their new strategy, implementation and training of sales teams.

Eco-responsible entrepreneurship project in the field of fine art printing. I’ve founded, organised and managed the start-up on a daily basis. I created its brand as well as a line of award-winning cultural products. The project was supported by the United Nations Environment Program. Although it generated a lot of excitement, media coverage and the products were distributed in more than 200 points of sale, we did not reach the break-even point and I ended up shutting down the activity in agreement with my main investor, the region of Brussels.

In addition to steering the communication plan around the merger and the activation of a new brand in 15 countries, I was given the mission of setting up and managing the marketing and communication department of the newly created company. Our role as a team was to manage internal and external communication, events, advertising, online as well as sales support and change management communication on many different projects.

I managed this department throughout the transition phase. I then recruited and trained my successor and once everything was stabilised, I left to take up new challenges.

In addition to preparing the communication plan to support the upcoming merger, the role of the team was to advise the executive committee, to provide support to the sales teams, to manage the internal and external communication of the division and to take care of the change communication around a multitude transformation projects (e.g. IT projects, HR projects, relocation of 1500 employees to an unattractive location…)

HR project management role reporting directly to the group's new HRD whose mission was to reorganize the HR department around the "business partner" model and to lead various major transformation projects in the bank.

Examples of projects I have carried out under his supervision:
- Set-up of a recruitment team (organisational design, work procedures and reporting,
implementation and temporary management of the team)
- Repositioning of the training function on the "business partner" approach in order to align
training investments on the business strategy of the group
- Implementation of a new approach for the annual appraisal, goal setting and rewards
- Management of an internal communication plan around a workforce downsizing plan

I gradually took charge of the projects in a more autonomous way. They became more complex and far-reaching. My ease in the field of communication having been noticed by the executives committee, I was appointed to create a communication department within a division of the group in preparation for an upcoming merger.
