I use textiles and technology to explore the human body and its lived experiences. My work ranges from evocative sculptures and installations to thought-provoking embroideries that stitch art and science together, with a more recent exploration into AI and memories, under the project Rachail.com. I aim to make science and technology accessible and educational, inviting audiences to experience and empathize with my artwork. I am a respected researcher in my field, having published my insights and presented them at esteemed institutions like Oxford University. I have also completed successful public commissions for organizations such as the Wellcome Trust and the Eden Project, which was featured in a BBC World Service documentary. In addition to my artistic pursuits, I have a background as a teacher and can engage and educate audiences on various topics. Two of my most notable projects include "Symbiosis," a life-size embroidery of a pregnant woman depicting her body colonized by microbes, and "The Skin as Repository," which explores the physical changes in the skin, conveyed through the medium of textiles.
