Sophie Mulqueen

Over the last two years I have been working as a freelance merchandiser and consultant with various clients across both fashion and beauty categories. I enjoy working with small to medium sized businesses who really benefit from implementing some merchandising strategy or regular reporting and trade insights. Using my varied experience and technical knowledge, I enjoy helping clients build out clear processes, understand their total stock situation, and see the benefit that having this crucial data to hand provides.

Working alongside a fully remote team in a startup environment, my main tasks revolved around building out merchandising processes and helping to implement a stock and range strategy. I also became involved with supplier communications, prepping and sharing purchase orders, monitoring the critical path and building out tools to help connect other teams within the business with stock.

During my time at The Fragrance Shop, I worked alongside a large team to manage weekly orders and brand relationships. A large part of my role involved ensuring these orders align with WSSI planned intake and overall budgets. I spend time communicating with suppliers and brands regarding products, stock holding and budgets.
