I have been on the other end of this, and have often refused consultants if they didn't show the intention to get a real grasp of the company. If we work together I will ask a lot of questions but this is essential to providing good insights; I value discretion, privacy and efficiency and am known for being blunt and raw (but real !) as this is what founders need !
